Shiva Salehpour, a Zohreh Art High School graduate from Tehran, advanced her studies in Italy, focusing on Cinema and Performing Arts, Music, and Media at Milan's Polytechnic and Turin. Her art appeared at Tehran's Saba gallery in 2014, and she won a 2020 film festival with "Locked in" at Milad Tower.

In "Another Origin of the World" she reinterprets Courbet's "L'origine du monde" exploring the "origin of the world" through a montage of found imagery, emphasizing trauma's impact on the body. She probes the female capacity to endure pain, encapsulated in the figure of Princess Tāj-al-Salṭana, a Qajar dynasty feminist and advocate for women's rights in Iran. The video symbolizes the persistence of censored thoughts, which, although diminished, persist.
