Goosebumps...that's what I get whenever I see the images of this photoshoot. I don't regret it and that's what photography's about; helping us to see others the way they want to see them, raw!

I love the anatomy of the human body as a surgeon loves being in a surgery room. I'm dedicated to this. This woman responded to a call I had for bodyscape "models".

We met for coffee as I do with all my subjects. She told me her story about her severe scoliosis, and how she went through it as a young girl growing up with this medical issue and how the society was bullying her. That was my first shock.

We arranged for a shooting day. Until that day I never had the experience with a person with scoliosis. She showed me her back and the surgeries she had...I was speechless. That was my second shock.

It was, and still is, my obligation to represent the best way possible how my subject wants to be represented. I don't mind what the society will say or won't say. I'm my subjects' messenger.
