Alice Rambaldi graduated with honors from the two-year specialist course in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Sassari in 2022.

She has taken part in numerous group exhibitions including The contemporary sacred Museo Diocesano Arborense of Oristano and the National Arts Award at the Pinacoteca Albertina in Turin (2019).

The title of the work is 1.03 (Memory).

The work is part of a series composed of eight poplar wood panels, entitled Choreography of Trust, a number that marks the counting of steps in dance: each work is a frame of two choreographies by the Swedish dancer Mats Ek (Apartment and Memory, both chosen as visual references to the lockdown period of 2020). The hands in the painting are those of her parents, who spent the quarantine period with her during the pandemic.

The series reflects on the detachment and interpersonal isolation imposed by the pandemic and where physical contact almost becomes a gesture of faith.
