Originally, I lived in Beaumont Texas, a small Texas town near the border of Louisiana. During college, I would often take trips between Beaumont and Houston because of its industrial aesthetics. There's a train that runs throughout Houston's downtown area. I knew I could tell a story revolving around the train. "What if this character is trying to hack into the train? Why would she need to do that? Maybe there's something important on the train?" Questions like that will spark my imagination and help build the story around an image.
