One of the most elusive sunrises in the Himalayas - the first light of the day kissing the peak of Mount Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the entire world.

As the sun slowly rises over the horizon, Mount Kanchenjunga gets bathed in the glory of the golden rays. It is often behind a veil of clouds, and I spent hundreds of hours chasing that perfect sunrise - but it has eluded me ever since the beginning.

After a night full of thunderstorms and rain, and spending days in search of the sunrise in a remote Himalayan village, she finally revealed herself the next morning. Crisp and clear, majestic as ever, with the first light painting on the surface of the mountain.
