Knowing and Seeing (2024) represents a convergence of two fundamental aspects of our world - matter and energy. Matter being the observable physicality of nature as we perceive it through the sense of vision and energy being of a more metaphysical and less tangible reality (relating to Qi).

Energy and matter are one and the same. This work simultaneously reflects my exploration of its visual convergence. It also symbolises the fusion of two of my creative trajectories - figuration and abstraction as well as an interweaving of traditional and digital technologies.

I have fused my AI animated landscape with my intricate physical painting comprised of thousands of calligraphic strokes.

This collection is like a moment when two curvilinear lines cross or when two opposing ends of a circle meet. Through Knowing and Seeing (2024) I explore the meeting of physical and virtual as a creative, practical, and philosophical conceptualisation.
