In this artwork, we investigate the relationships within the space. We enhance the experience and perception of space within the concept of architecture and spatial design.



Investigating architectural space we see it as a phenomenon that exists in the universe or anywhere where human perception can wander. We see space as a relationship between parts and human perception.


The artwork stems from an architectural research in depth developed around the idea of the Gestalt method.

In application to architectural design, ‘the main idea of Gestalt psychology states that the meaning of the whole can’t be reached by individual parts because of the dynamic and organic relationships between the individual parts that integrate it.’ We believe this experience of space translates into many areas of human life.


This artwork is created through 3D hand sculpting and digital linear hand drawing techniques.


We used the 3D modelling technique to carve the metamorphic form that represents architectural space, a 3D sculpture that provides a spatial experience of architectural Interface. 
Then, after analysing it, we used the carved 3D model as a basis for the detailed speculative imaginative drawing. Using the digital linear hand-drawing technique we reinforce the moments of pressure, tension and interaction between parts of the space.


Being exposed to different cultures and have experienced space and distance in our lives, we transform our experiences into unique work to push the boundaries of the perception of space.
